Still a brash driver, as always, Kevin has a slightly softer and more appealing edge these days. He was put in one of the toughest positions ever in motorsports when he had to take over for the late Dale Earnhardt, and has made his own way in doing so. Kevin's especially good on short-tracks as well as plate tracks. When he's dialed in on the intermediate stuff, he can flat-out dominate there too. If things break just right, he could win a title any time.
Our Daytona 500 winner is well known for having a mouth and taunting the Busch Brothers. If you become his target he could care less what you or the media thinks. He is a very talented driver who owns quite a Busch program. I don't see him as the 2008 Sprint Cup Champion but I do see it happening. He reminds me of Jimmy Johnson in 2005 ... he could be a multiple year champion if he stays behind the wheel long enough and doesn't jump to ownership.
Perhaps the most ironically nicknamed driver on the circuit, “Happy” Harvick has made a name for himself when he easily could have resided in the shadow of Senior. When he's on his game, he is one of the most dynamic drivers on the track. Teammate Jeff Burton says that Kevin schooled him on road courses; maybe Jeff can help Kevin find the consistency that he currently lacks. Once he finds it, a Championship will not be far behind.
