Rowdy.com is an online racing oriented social networking community that connects people through networks of friends for communicating, sharing & making new friends, sharing photos & videos, posting journals & comments, and describing their interests. Rowdy.com allows our users to set up unique personal profiles that can be linked together to make it easy to share information.
To facilitate the Rowdy.com Members' experience, we request and display some personal information to other members and visitors, which allows the users to identify each other and expand their network. User Profile information including Members' pictures and names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction in the Rowdy.com social networking community. E-mail addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join Rowdy.com, to add users to Members' friends networks, and to send notifications related to the service. With the exception of inviting friends, adding friends, and notifications, a user's e-mail address is not shared or displayed to people within a user's personal network. Users within a personal network communicate on Rowdy.com with each other through the Rowdy.com service, without disclosing their e-mail addresses. Users' full names are never directly revealed to other members. To facilitate searching and finding friends and acquaintances on the service, Rowdy.com allows users to search for other members using first and last name, e-mail address.
Except as otherwise described in this privacy statement, or where a user is expressly informed otherwise, we do not sell, rent, share, trade or give away any of a user's personal information, unless: (1) to conform to legal requirements or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other legal process received by Rowdy.com, whether or not a response is required by applicable law; (2) to enforce the Rowdy.com Terms of Use Agreement or to protect our rights; or (3) to protect the safety of members of the public and users of the service.
However, Rowdy.com may share profile information and aggregate usage information in a non-personally identifiable manner with advertisers and other third parties in order to present to Members and other users of the Rowdy.com website more targeted advertising, products and services. If a Member elects to use our "Invite a Buddy" feature to invite a friend to become a Member of the Rowdy.com community, we ask them for the friend's e-mail address. Rowdy.com stores the e-mail addresses that Members provide so that the respondents may be added to the friend's list of the member sending the invitations, and also to send reminders of the invitations. Recipients of invitations from Rowdy.com may contact Rowdy.com to request the removal of their information from our database.
